Kenya Program Fees:

Will cover transportation to and from airport in host country, host family accommodations including 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner), Government levies, in-country 24/7 support and supervision.

Registration Fee (Not included in Progarm Fee):

A registration fee of $200 USD covers 24/7 Support from GVVN staff, program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.

Additional Costs:

Visa ($25 - Obtained upon arrival in Nairobi, Kenya), airfare, vaccinations, trips and tours while in Kenya, spending money ($25 USD is usually sufficient for basic weekly expenses.)

Program Dates:

The Kenya programs run all through out the year. Program orientations will take place every Sunday.

Tanzania Program Fees:

Program Fees include local accommodation at a volunteer house, local host family, or at a pre-selected Hostel and includes all meals, plus transport between your accommodation and project (unless otherwise stated), airport pickup and drop- off, 24/7 in-country local staff support and supervision.

A registration fee of $200 USD covers 24/7 Support from GVVN staff, program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.

Additional Costs:

Visa, airfare, vaccinations, trips and tours while in Tanzania, spending money ($25 USD is usually sufficient for basic weekly expenses.)

Program Dates:

Tanzania programs run all through out the year, with the exception of the Teaching programs (NOTE- school vacations and holidays are listed on Programs page). Program orientations take place on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. You should plan to arrive in Tanzania at least one day before orientation takes place.

Guatemala Program Fees:

IMPORTANT NOTE - It should be noted that $300 of your program fee is put entirely towards the costs of building of the house.

The rest of the program fee covers covers, program country airport pickup upon arrival, host family accommodations including 3 meals a day (except Sundays), bus transportation to work site, in-country 24/7 support by masons and supervision by our partner program. If you would like to stay longer than a month, you are encouraged to travel or take Spanish classes.

A registration fee of $200 USD covers 24/7 Support from GVVN staff, program promotion costs, administrative costs, travel costs to inspect programs and communication costs with volunteers.

Additional Costs:

Airfare, Visa (US Citizen with a valid passport will not require a vis. For a list of countries that do not require a visa for entrance visit here), trips and tours while in Guatemala (optional), Spanish classes (optional), spending money.

Costa Rica Program Fees:

NOTE - As you will notice, our Costa Rica program fees are significantly higher than those of our other programs. The reason for the high cost is the accomodations that are provided (listed below), plus the high cost of conservation efforts. This is a once in a life-time experience. Do not let the high cost deter you from taking part in the amazing program.

You program fee will cover the following:

• First and last night hotel accommodations in the historic Gran Hotel Costa Rica in San José, including breakfast;

• Land and boat transport to Tortuguero, with breakfast en route;

• All meals and accommodations at the Field Station;

• A guided tour lead by a local naturalist (either a hike along a rainforest trail or a boat tour through the canal system);

• Return flight to San José on NatureAir (small propeller plane);

• All scheduled in-country transfers between airports and hotels (Airport pick-up and drop-off).

Airfare, Yellow Fever vaccination, airport departure tax ($27), personal travel, spending money (for lunch and dinner in San Jose' and souvenirs).

Program Dates:

Our Costa Rica program runs March through October. More specifically March - June are set for conservation work with Leatherback turtles, while June - October are set for work with Green Turtles.
